The Rollmate is an integrated non-destructive inspection system for detection of defects in metallic rolls. The system is designed to be installed on a grinder or lathe where inspection information is used to minimize stock removal and machining time. The system provides real-time defect map of the roll that is saved for later post-analysis, tracking and process control.
The system uses patented ultrasonic technology for detection of surface and sub-surface defects and can optionally include an electromagnetic inspection technique for detection of soft spots, bruises, and other ultrasonic transducers for core-shell disbond inspection.
The Rollmate is the only system in the market that uses ultrasound to perform surface and sub-surface inspections while grinding, providing far greater sensitivity and reliability than conventional eddy current systems.
The new Rollmate includes more features and capabilities to maintain our technological leadership in the industry. The newest generation uses a modular design with up to 3 inspection heads and four inspection options.
